Music & More Children's Theater is excited to announce open registration for our new Little Folks Theater class for young actors ages 5 - 8. The 8-week class meets Tuesdays 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Session One meets August 6th - September 24th. The class culminates with a full produced performance. $85/mo plus $50 materials.  Session One will focus on "The Very Very Gingerbread Man", a 20 minute, musical play by Carol Kaplan-Lyss. The story is a zingy reimagining of the classic tale featuring a witty script and upbeat songs. Even though Gingie is so full of ginger he ignores the warnings of the Baker, his helper Miss Taker, some unicorns with musical horns, a flock of cockatoos singing the blues, and a bunch of bees with bee-bopping knees. SPOILER ALERT! Thanks to one gigantic sneeze, Gingie doesn't get eaten when the cookie lovin’ fox finally catches him. In the end, Gingie decides to be a better listener and direct his energy into singing and dancing for customers at the Sugar and Spice Cookie Shop. 

 While each of our theater classes culminate in a fully produced performance, our focus at Music & More Children's Theater is on education. Young actors receive quality training in a safe, positive learning environment that supports the needs of each child. Working together as a team, our Littles classes explores basic acting, singing and dancing skills through games and fun activities. Come join us! Young Singer Actor II (Aladdin) 9 -14 years old

Music & More Children's Theater is excited to announce the third show in our fall line-up of musical theater opportunities for actor/singers ages 9 - 14. Registration is currently open for the hilarious musical "Aladdin and His Magic Lamp" by Tim Kelly and Pam Hughes. The Young Singer/Actor II class starts Wednesday August 7th at 4:30 - 6:00 pm. Class fees are $85/mo, $50 materials. Students will audition and be introduced to theater protocols during the two-week registration period, after which they will be assigned roles. There are a variety of fun characters in this classic story, including three magical genies and a dragon. The musical features upbeat, age appropriate songs and a witty, fast paced script. 

 Characters include: Aladdin - A clever and charismatic young man eager to improve his life Princess Jasmine - a princess who wants to make her own choices Alakazam - Aladdin’s mischievous pet monkey Jammal - a cunning, conniving sorcerer who craves power Halima - Jammal’s sinister sister, a clever spy The Great Wazier - chief advisor to the Sultan Sultan - a jovial larger-than-life ruler of the city of Shammar. Queen Sultana - wife of the Sultan Zara - attendant to Princess Jasmine Sheba - attendant to Princess Jasmine Prince Dulmar - the Queen’s distant relative. Fashion challenged. Habiba - Aladdin’s mother, a poor widow Neela - Aladdin’s spunky sister Kalil - Aladdin’s best friend Scheherazade - teller of stories Merchant Woman - sells fruit in the market Neighbor - tired of Aladdin’s pranks Genie of the Ring - a magical being who can transport its master Genie of the Jewels - a magical being who guards magical jewels Genie of the Lamp - The most powerful genie who grants wishes Dragon - guardian of the cave.












On Stage (Anne of Green Gables) 12-20 years old

​Music & More Children's Theater is excited to announce auditions for our fall OnStage production Anne of Green Gables the Musical, adaptation by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, for ages 11 - 20. Open auditions will be held on August 9th, 16th and 23rd. OnStage theater workshop meets weekly on Fridays 4:30 - 6:00 pm from August 9th to December 15th.  This new musical is lovingly based on Lucy Maud Montgomery's timeless classic novel, "Anne of Green Gables". This heartwarming story about the trials of growing up, love, family and home brings the comical adventures of red-headed orphan Anne Shirley to life as she uses her spirit and imagination to make loyal friends, charm community members of Prince Edward Island and find a forever home. 

 Roles include: ANNE SHIRLEY (11) - An orphan girl with a vivid imagination who is mistakenly brought to the home of brother and sister Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. Anne is stubborn, passionate, loyal, and intelligent. GILBERT BLYTHE (14) - A handsome, smart young man who likes Anne and becomes Anne’s rival. DIANA BARRY (11) - Anne’s best friend who lives next door and goes to the Avonlea school. MINNIE MAE BARRY (9) - Diana Barry’s little sister who goes to the Avonlea school JANE ANDREWS (11) - A sensible, steadfast and reliable girl in Anne’s group of friends. JOSIE PYE (11) - A girl in Anne’s class is a “born trouble-maker” who likes Gilbert and resents Anne for the feelings he has for her. RUBY GILLIS / SHOP GIRL (12 )- Ruby Gillis is one of the girls in Anne’s class. The Shop Girl sells Matthew the Puffy Sleeves dress. MOODY SPURGEON (12) - One of the more troublesome boys in Anne’s class at the Avonlea school. CHARLIE SLOAN (14) - One of the boys in Anne’s class – Tommy’s brother, Gilbert’s best friend. TOMMY SLOAN (11) - One of the boys in Anne’s class – Charlie’s brother. MARILLA CUTHBERT - A middle-aged single woman who raises Anne – she is stern yet caring. MATTHEW CUTHBERT - A painfully shy middle-aged bachelor farmer who lives with his sister, Marilla – Anne considers Matthew to be a kindred spirit. RACHEL LYNDE - The middle-aged town busybody who likes to share her opinion and give advice. MRS. SPENCER - The young woman who mistakenly brings Anne to Matthew and Marilla. MR. PHILLIPS / STATION MASTER - Mr. Phillips is the young, boring schoolmaster. Station Master runs the Avonlea train station.. MINISTER / DOCTOR - The Minister is a kindly man. The Doctor is the Neighborhood Doctor. MRS. BARRY/MRS. BLEWETT - Mrs. Barry is Diana’s young mother but is a strict, unforgiving woman.. Mrs. Blewett is a nasty, stingy young woman who offers to take Anne in as a servant.

The children’s musical “Alice in Wonderland” is a delightful adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale. It follows a young girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a whimsical world filled with peculiar characters and fantastical adventures. Along the way, she meets the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts, among others. The musical is filled with catchy songs, vibrant costumes, and enchanting scenes that bring the magical world of Wonderland to life. It’s a story about curiosity, imagination, and the joy of exploring the unknown.
